Kean facing sack or demotion?

It seems that under fire boss Steve Kean has got both barrells aimed well and truly at him this morning as depending on who you believe he faces the sack or a demotion from his role as manager at Blackburn Rovers.

Since the controversial 3-2 defeat to Fulham at the weekend the News of the World has been on the case with news of an emergency meeting in London that could lead to Kean being sacked… two months after being told he would ‘unsackable’.

Kean has presided over four losses in five matches as Rovers slip agonisingly close to the relegation zone in the Premier League.

The other option that Venkys have it seems is a move to put Kean back into the coaching shuffle and replace him with a higer profile manager with a bit of pedigree.

You want some names? Ok then, the Daily Mail give you either Claudio Ranieri or Martin Jol as potential replacements.

This particular option would allow Venky’s to avoid the embarassment of sacking their Kentaro employee and save Kean some dignity as well.

There are even rumours that Kean ‘is safe’, this according to sources close to Venkys.

So to say things are a little up in the air is a bit of an understatement.
