Steve Kean has come out all guns balzing this morning and stays determined to do the job he believes he can do at Ewood Park amongst mass call for him to be sacked.

Kean has been under fire from seemingly all comers after a run of 10 games that means Rovers are on their worst win less run since Jesus was a man with hole free hands.

But the rookie Scot has confirmed he is going nowhere and far from letting it get him down he is using it as a motivator.

Kean spoke to Sky Sports and clarified – ‘Do I think about quitting? Not for a day, not for a second. It just makes me more determined to go out and win’

‘I think the criticism has been harsh. There was little written or said when we got a point at Arsenal.

‘Then the whole world is going to end because we have drawn a game [at home to Birmingham].’

‘It has been difficult to take. It’s in your face all the time and even the local paper is negative’

‘The lads don’t like it. David Dunn and Phil Jones are from around here and they feel it is harsh.

‘I can understand the frustration of the fans. We are sharing it too. But we are going to use it and harness it in our favour.’

“I do understand the concerns but we are talking about very fine margins,” he said.

“I understand the frustrations of the fans, we are frustrated ourselves because we feel as though we have been good enough in a number of those games to just edge it.

“For whatever reason we have drawn or lost. What I would like to say is we are sharing the frustration.

“We are not going against the frustration, it is not the players and staff saying ‘why are you frustrated`?

“We are frustrated as well because we would have liked to have beaten Blackpool and Birmingham. We are sharing that frustration it is equal.

“Hopefully they stick with us because we`d like to create an atmosphere in the next two games that`s a little bit like we had against Liverpool. The place was bouncing that night, magnificent.

“But it`s our job to make sure they see that from us as a team. We don`t sit back and dictate, we go and get after a team, show we mean business.Join The Vital Debate
