Steve Kean admits the team are now in a dog-fight to save their Premier League status.

Kean had previously stated he was not under pressure and was calm about the situation, but with 5 games to go the realization of the task ahead may have just hit him!

Kean told Sky Sports:

‘We know where we are, we are in an absolute dogfight, and sometimes you have to fight.

‘We have spoken to the players about all that and I’m very confident they have taken all that on board.’

‘We need to roll our sleeves up and battle for our lives.’

Better late than never from the ever so bald one, and with back to back home games coming up, it may have come just in time.

Star man Junior Hoilett is set to return to the starting line up against Manchester City on Monday after missing the game with Everton last Saturday.

The young Canadian has been praised by pretty much every Blackburn Rovers fan so far this season, and now it’s Kean’s turn.

‘We are confident he will be back for Monday. He missed the last game with a bit of fluid on his hamstring but that is clearing up and we are hopeful he will be able to train on Saturday and Sunday.’

‘We have missed him. His quality this season has been fantastic, and his consistency.’

‘He’s not been a flash in the pan – he’s been a constant threat to opposition defences.

Well observed Kean! About the only thing you have got right in your time here is putting this lad in the starting line-up!
