Kean Returns To Ewood

Jake Kean is back with Blackburn Rovers. Rovers haven’t Officially confirmed this yet, however, the League 1 side that had loaned him (Yeovil Town) have.

Yeovil have Officially said that Kean is now back at Ewood to challenge for a first-team spot again (a diplomatic answer perhaps??), which he’ll have a battle on his hands to gain so it’s a shame that this loan couldn’t have been extended beyond it’s initial one-month spell as Kean is in need of a run of football for several months.

Kean is believed to have had a mixed bag during his time at Huish Park with his final match coming in a 4-1 defeat at Port Vale on Saturday with some reports questioning his role in a couple of the Port Vale goals and that led to question marks over his continued involvement with The Glovers.

Hopefully we can quickly fix Kean up with another loan elsewhere??

In other news the withdrawal from the Scotland squad of Rovers skipper Grant Hanley was confirmed by Gary Bowyer this afternoon.

Bowyer knows that Hanley doesn’t miss matches lightly so fears this could be something more than “a little scratch” with him to be assessed at Brockhall to find out the severity of his knee injury.
