Keith Andrews submits transfer request

News this evening out of Blackburn that Irish International midfielder Keith Andrews has submitted a formal transfer request.

The timing of this transfer request seems to indicate that Andrews is making one last desperate attempt to announce his intentions publically that he wants out.

Keith spent much of the earlier portion of the season on loan at Ipswich Town impressing scoring nearly a goal every other game during his 20 match stint in East Anglia.

It was expected that Ipswich would follow up the loan with a bid to take Andrews perminantly, however a bid has not been forth-coming from the club.

Swansea, Wigan, Bolton and several Championship teams are thought to be interested in his services. However a January Transfer Window window move still looks unlikely.

Meanwhile, Scott Sutter (still on trial with Rovers) is still in the limbo about whether he will be signing a long-term deal with Rovers whilst Steve Kean decides whether he fits into his plans.

No firm interest has been placed for Michel Salgado either as it looks like he will see out the remainder of his highly paid contract twiddling his thumbs at home.
