Manager Paul Lambert has admitted that the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend clearly lacked quality.

Making the trip at the weekend to the Molineux for the game, Blackburn Rovers played out a scoreless draw on the day and Lambert had to admit that with how the game played out, he had to be content with a point for the efforts of the players – but equally he knows it was a game without much quality and probably not great on the eyes of the travelling fans.

With that said, he did feel Blackburn could’ve nicked all three points.

Speaking to The Official Blackburn Rovers Website in his post game press conference, the manager explained.

‘It was probably one of the poorest games I’ve seen. I didn’t think our quality was there like it has been. It was a nothing game, there was a lot of mistakes from both teams, but we had the best chances. Yet their goalkeeper has kept them in the game with three world class saves. Two from Gomez and one from Shane Duffy. So I’m disappointed not to win the game as I thought we had the better chances. To come here and Jason Steele to not have a save speaks testament for the defence.’

With Huddersfield Town up next, and them having a very confidence boosting draw against Hull City at the weekend, things won’t get easier for Blackburn but Lambert did also talk of his hopes that Danny Graham would return to contention for that match.

The on loan forward limped out of Wolves after only 16 minutes with a hamstring problem, ut after assessments it the problem isn’t as serious as thought and taking him off as a precaution seemed to have worked.

‘Hopefully it is just a bit of tightness there and he’ll be okay for next Saturday. I think he’ll be okay, we just couldn’t risk him today. If we had kept him on for a bit longer the hamstring could go and then you lose him for the whole rest of the campaign. But I thought Chris Brown and Simeon Jackson did really well when they came in. I know what I’ll get with Simeon as I’ve known him a long time. He works the channels and I just thought we needed someone to stretch it a little bit and he did that very well.’
