Blackburn Rovers are considering making a fresh approach for out of contract South Korea’s Lee Keun-Ho.

Lee was invited for a trial with Rovers in early January after being watched by scouts but he declined to attend as he only wanted to join a club where he would be assured of first team action.

However, the South Korea international is still a free agent and has now decided to re-think his options.

Lee, speaking to the Korean media, said – ‘I have many options at this stage. I am carefully going through them. Nothing has been decided about my future yet,’

A high scoring striker, Lee has attracted tons of interest in Korea but his main aim according to the players is to play in Europe.

Agents have been in contact with Rovers officials and a few other clubs in Spain and Belgium apparently.

This one could gather pace.

  • why do we want a player who rejected us? we werent big enough for him, so stuff that….obviously he aint good enough for any1 since he is a free agent

  • I am not sure it is as simple as that. He rejected us because he wanted guaranteed first team football. I think he may of thought we were too big for him…

  • I think we have bigger issues than buying strikers. We do has Diouff as a back up, though I think we need him on the wing. Plus, we showed last Saturday that one up top can work for us.

  • Not currently playing after finishing his contract with Daegu FC in December. If he can cut it at Premier league level, would be a useful player because he adverages a goal every second game and can also play on the wing. Theres every indication he can cut it because at international level, he is prolific, having scored 6 goals in his last 6 games. and at only 23 he could be a great investment for the future. If big Sam says yes, I say yes!

  • copy and paste him onto youtube hes luks a player with kwik feet, can head and free scoring.yes retroflair only 23 wud be wise buy your right, roberts needs a lil competition and mccarthy is class but getting older plus derbyshires out on loan.bring him in as hes freeeeee!

  • I tend to agree with sas on this one dudes. He didn’t want to come to us before, but now (and some time down the line STILL without a club) he may well change his mind. If he was all that WHY is he still without a club now?!?!

  • I know nothing about this player and i’d be surprised if anyone else did – Wot happened the links for Kuranyi, Zigic etc, players who have proven themselves in the euro leagues… When Santa leaves in the summer for the suggested £18m i do believe we can attract more experienced players, im not however saying that the Korean isnt good, but…………….

  • We will use that money when we get it I suppose. Its all specualtion but a 4th striker couldnt hurt if we got the right quality.

  • its not that no one wants him. he is in huge demand in asia and with other European clubs. only been out of contract for 2 months so its more of an off season break than any extended absence from the game, and he declined our invitation because he wants a first team start- theres nothing wrong with that! shows he respects the quality of our strikers… if we can get him free theres nothing to lose and don’t forget HE CAN PLAY ON THE WING! God knows we could use that
