Linganzi and Basturk shine

New boys Yildiray Basturk and Amine Linganzi both made a mark in the reserves last night during a 3-0 win over an inexperienced Wigan side.

Basturk was the star of the show again at the top of a midfield diamond and was the main creative spark.

And fellow newbie Amine Linganzi set up two first-half goals for Maceo Rigters before scoring the third himself to round off an impressive night.

To complete the good news there was even a Vince Grella sighting – which is now considered on a par with an eclipse!!!
