Lowe Lands West Brom Chance

Jason Lowe would have been preparing for League One football had he not been released by Blackburn at the end of his contract.

However, the former Rovers captain is now bidding to win a contract at Premier League level.

West Brom, reportedly one of the clubs showing an interest in Lowe whilst still at Ewood Park, along with Hull, have handed the versatile midfielder, capable of playing at full back too, a trial.

The Lancashire Telegraph reports Lowe, 25, has flown out to Austria, ironically enough where Blackburn are also based for pre-season at the moment, to start a trial with Tony Pulis’ side.

Good luck to the Blackburn academy graduate, who went on to play almost 200 appearances for Rovers after making his debut in January 2011, including 30-odd at Premier League level.

Lowe was also capped by England at U21 during his time at Ewood, released after 13 years at the club.
