Whilst wading through the fixtures this morning the majority of fans will have been looking for the fixtures against the Chelsea’s and Man United’s of this world but for myself personally the main match for me is always been the Boxing Day fixture.

It is always a big family outing on this day and in previous seasons I have been lucky to experience boxing day fixture against Newcastle (My Dad’s team) and last years tremendous victory against Liverpool but this year looks set to be extra special for me…

Man City is my brother’s team and there has been a long standing rivalry between us for football team superiority. Recently we have been getting the better of them but City have always had our number in the nineties.

There were tears when City beat us at Ewood 3-2 the year when we won the title and their was pain when we knocked them out of the cup 2-0 last season.

City of Manchester is a great stadium and with the whole family in attendance it should be a great occasion especially with it being a Boxing day fixture… traditionally a boom period for British football.

Now whilst I know this doesn’t have a lot to do with Rovers directly I thought I would share. After all it is Summer, there isn’t much to talk about and the fixtures have been released.

And as the Head Chief HughesDaMan will testify to, peoples personal experiences are what brings an extra dimension to the site… lets enjoy it together. Any experiences to share would be most welcome.
