Mark Hughes Says Benni IS Staying

Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes has again reiterated that Benni McCarthy is going NOWHERE, and he WILL be here when the season gets underway.

All summer long their has been speculation linking McCarthy with a move to away from Ewood Park (with the player doing little to calm this) but Hughes has once again stressed that the club have no desire to sell him, and he is looking forward to seeing what impact Benni can make this season.

What we ideally need now is for Benni to come out himself and build on his comments from earlier in the week FULLY committing himself to Rovers, not just half-heartedly doing so.

Sparky told Sky Sports News:

“There’s no situation. The situation is Benni is a Blackburn Rovers player and we’re very happy with him.

“Obviously he had a fantastic season last year and we hope he is going to have a similar season this year.”
