Marrow leaves Rovers

Rovers midfielder Alex Marrow has left the club, the official Rovers website has confirmed.

The player, who was signed for an undisclosed fee from Crystal Palace last summer, has not had the impact some expected at Ewood Park, with only a couple of appearances and a penalty conceding handball to his name during a brief stint in the first team.

Marrow was also loaned out during the second half of the season to neighbours Fleetwood, with his first team opportunities restricted by the form of Corry Evans, Jason Lowe (to the bunkers!) and Lee Williamson (to the bunkers again!).

With seemingly no takers after being publicly transfer listed alongside the majority of the Rovers #FamCrew, Marrow has gone the way of Dickson Etuhu and DJ Campbell by reaching a mutual termination of his deal.
