Ben Marshall is still under contract with Blackburn until the end of next season.

But apparent ‘indecision’ over a new deal being offered, with so much uncertainty at Ewood Park due to increasing debts and no one (once again) knowing what Venky’s future plans are, will see him leave Rovers in the summer?

Premier League and Championship clubs are showing plenty of interest in Marshall according to the Daily Mail with a recent report they carried on the 25-year-old, who has often courted attention.

He wouldn’t be someone Paul Lambert would be looking to lose by choice would he!

Middlesbrough, who of course signed Jordan Rhodes in the last transfer window, and Brighton (apparent long-term admirers) are ‘particularly keen’ on the former Manchester United and Leicester midfielder.

Last summer a reported bid of £3.25m from Brighton was turned down, a similar fee (with him moving into the final year of his contract) would, you suspect, lead to his Blackburn exit but we’ll see what the future brings!

Interest in Marshall once again would be anticipated though wouldn’t it?
