Martin Olsson vs England

Rovers winger/left back Martin Olsson will tonight play international football in a familiar part of the world to him – England.

Martin has rose through the ranks of the Sweden set up and is now more or less a certain starter for the Scandinavians when injury free.

Tonight Sweden play England in an international friendly and despite picking up a knock that ruled him out of Sweden’s match at the weekend the Olssonator is due to play some part in tonight’s proceedings.

He could even come up against an old foe.

Olsson told rovers.co.uk – ‘I am looking forward to the game against England and I am looking forward to playing against Jonesy if I get the chance.’

‘I don’t have to travel that far and to be play a big national team is always fun.’

Sweden also qualified for the Euro 2012 finals next summer and that is a big aim for the young man and now a cult figure at Blackburn.

Martin added – ‘It was very good. It is something I have been dreaming about playing in the European Championships and hopefully I get the chance to play’

‘But I have to keep performing with Blackburn first, and if I keep playing like I know I can then hopefully I get that chance.’

Good. Attitude.
