The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Carlisle United this Tuesday.

Blackburn Rovers’ Under 23 side travel to Carlisle United on Tuesday October 4 for the Football League Trophy/Checkatrade Trophy tie at Brunton Park and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Referee: Richard Clark
Linesmen: Barry Cropp and Barry Gordon
Fourth Official: Andrew Miller

Blackburn are one of the 16 Category One Academy sides taking part in the competition this season on a trial basis.

Match Day referee Clark is yet to officiate a game in 2016/17.

He took in 19 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 54 yellow cards and four red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Bradford City and Wigan Athletic on October 24 with a total of six yellows being shown. He also showed four yellows and two reds in the game between Rotherham and Birmingham on February 13.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
