The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Southend United this Saturday.
Blackburn Rovers travel to Southend United on Saturday August 5 for the game at Roots Hall and the match carries a 3pm kick off.
Referee: Lee Swabey
Assistant Refs: Lee Venamore and Michael George
Fourth Official: Alan Young
Match Day referee Swabey took in 14 games so far in 2016/17, with a return of 59 yellow cards and three red cards.
His highest card count that year was nine yellows in the game between Mansfield Town and Portsmouth.
He took in 31 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 98 yellow cards and eleven red cards.
He was most card happy in the match between Stevenage and Mansfield on September 29 with a total of eight yellows being shown.
Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
