In form Carlisle striker Michael Bridges has had a torrid few years which has seen him fall from Champions League Football with Leeds United to playing in the bottom tier of the football league.

However despite being released by Sunderland last year Bridges believes he can still make it in the Premiership.

He told Skysports News: ‘I don’t set myself goals with set times, but I do want to be playing in The Championship and Premiership again, and I know I have what it takes.’

Bridges hasn’t played at the top level since he injured himself in a UEFA Cup match with Malaga in 2003, but he is also also attracting interest from former Leeds manager David O’Leary.
