Well, Ben Marshall will stay at Ewood Park until the end of his Blackburn contract anyway according to the Daily Mail.

Marshall had been linked with a move to Wolves earlier in the week. Paul Lambert reportedly wanted to work with the midfielder again having done so during his spell at Ewood Park in the last season.

These latest reports claim Marshall is ‘ready to see out his contract’ at Blackburn and will then seek to leave on a free transfer in the summer – meaning Rovers will receive no transfer fee for the former Leicester man!

Brighton, Ipswich and Fulham have all been credited with an interest but it’s claimed the 25-year-old basically wants to keep his options open. Therefore he’ll wait until the end of the season and then ‘assess his options’ before making his next move.

Marshall staying at Ewood is a plus with this season in mind. However, the fact Blackburn will then see him walk away at the end of his deal isn’t!
