Blackburn had to do without Danny Graham against Preston following the groin problem that forced him off against Fulham last week.
Graham wouldn’t have recovered as quickly as he should if he didn’t undergo this minor operation. But with the international break taking place this was the opportune time for this to take place.
It isn’t sure if Graham will be fit for Blackburn’s return against title chasing Brighton so the former Sunderland striker could sit out that meeting too as he had the draw with Preston.
Explaining the Graham situation Tony Mowbray told the Official Website
‘He came off with a sore groin at Fulham and it`s still sore. I think the plan is to have a little procedure on it – the medical department think they know what it is, it is maybe 10-days recovery period so he might not be ready for the next game as well.’
He’ll definitely not be out for the season which is the main thing so Mowbray is preparing to welcome Graham back into the fold sooner rather than later.
‘We will wait and see, hopefully he gets it sorted out and he can help us in the last few games. It`s not a major operation, it`s not going to finish the season for him, it`s a 10-day recovery period I think.’
