Blackburn Rovers midfielder Aaron Mokoena believes that Rovers boss Mark Hughes has proved those who doubted his ability to make it as a manager wrong.

Having previously backed Hughes to take over Manchester United (Related Article: Mokoena: Hughes Could Succeed Fergie – click here to read) Rovers midfielder Aaron Mokoena has also spoken out on why Sparky, rated as one of Britain’s best young managerial talents having worked wonders with Wales Internationally and now with Rovers at club level, is proving those who ever doubted him wrong.

When people look at Mark Hughes they think of him as the footballer. I know he was tough, he was very strong and he really wanted to win,” said Mokoena in the Sun newspaper recently.

But he’s a tactical coach who likes a nice mixture in his team and that is what he is trying to do now at Blackburn.

He’s still new to the game in terms of coaching and that makes it tough for him.

But he played for many top clubs so he knows what is needed to win games.

Now is a bigger challenge where we are expected to do well in the FA Cup and the league.

We already have the extra pressure because we are in the UEFA Cup. It’s a challenge to focus and do well in all three competitions.

But he’s enjoying himself. He’s still young and has so much to learn. We are helping him to do well because we know he is helping us to do the same.”

Mokoena, currently enjoying a starting spell in the Rovers first team due to Robbie Savage’s injury also praised Hughes on how he helped him settle into life in England and adjust to the Premiership since his move from Belgium. The South African captain added:

I am in England today because of him and I’ve settled really well. The manager has helped me feel at home and he likes my style of play.

I really enjoy myself here. I want to show my loyalty to the manager and the club.”

Mokoena is right Hughes is only really just starting out his career but he is a great young talent and a very good man manager so has all the qualities needed to succeed at the very highest levels.

As we have all said before lets just hope this remains with Rovers for the foreseeable future?
