Aaron Mokoena has today announced tht he will leave Rovers at the end of the season.

Aaron has been on the peripheral at Blackburn for a few years now and his first team chances have been limited but he has done whats asked when called upon at defensive midfield and occasionally right back as well.

His decision is likely to come with South Africa hosting the World Cup in 2010 and his need for first team action on a regular basis.

Speaking to the South African Times, Aaron said – ‘I am definitely leaving Blackburn. I always want to play but I cannot change the coach’s decision,’

‘It has been very frustrating because I could have left in January but they asked me to stay.

‘I want a club where I can get enough game time. I am 28 and need to play on a regular basis.’

At the end of the season Aaron will leave with our best wishes I am sure. He is not everyone’s cup of tea but he has always committed himself to the cause.

For that you always get a round of applause from yours truly.
