Speculation is rife that interest (as ever) is being shown in Jordan Rhodes.

Blackburn Rovers have managed to fend off interest from other clubs so far and the signing of a new contract in the summer left us in an even stronger position to keep the Scottish International, however, like anyone he’ll “have a price” won’t he.

Hopefully just not the amount to tempt us into selling him to Hull City!!

Simon Jones in The Daily Mail has said that the Premier League side (who could also offer him Europa League Football) are plotting a £12million bid for our striker after failing to land England International Danny Welbeck for a little more.

If Welbeck is valued at £14million and Shane Long was valued at a staggering £12million (when Hull sold the Republic of Ireland International) then Rhodes must be worth something towards the upper end of those amounts anyway??

Rhodes hasn’t started the season in the explosive goalscoring form we know he’s capable of but his partnership with Rudy Gestede continues to flourish so I’m hopeful that Rovers don’t (even if it’ll be admittedly hard to turn down some offers) allow him to go and more importantly he doesn’t want the move!!

This is, after all, just speculation at the moment anyway.
