Blackburn Rovers are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Charlie Mulgrew in the four one victory over MK Dons at the weekend at Ewood Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Mulgrew was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Mulgrew turned in a captain`s performance as Blackburn eased to a 4-1 triumph against Milton Keynes Dons, scoring two goals in the victory. His first goal came via a trademark free-kick, and he doubled his personal tally for the afternoon with a close-range header.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Mulgrew for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Joe Fryer (Stevenage), Charlie Mulgrew (Blackburn Rovers), Shaun Hutchinson (Millwall), Sid Nelson (Yeovil Town), Kyel Reid (Colchester United), Kamil Grosicki (Hull City), Alex Woodyard (Lincoln City), Kalvin Phillips (Leeds United), Gwion Edwards (Peterborough United), Frank Nouble (Newport County), Tom Eaves (Gillingham).
