Nearly Dunn!!!

Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Dunn is on the mend, and is on course for an earlier than expected return from injury.

Dunn, who has been missed even though others have come in and performed well in midfield, has been sidelined since August with an Achilles injury that required surgery. However, with him recovering well Dunny should return by January, but Paul Ince believes that he might return in December.

Ince told the Lancashire Telegraph: “Dunny will be back January, hopefully December at a push. Fingers crossed, we are getting there.

“Dunny is a different class player and when he played earlier in the season he was fantastic.

“Not to have him for half the campaign can be destroying but he is different to what we have got in midfield. He has the ability to beat people. He has been missed.

Dunny is an inspirational character (not to mention quality footballer!) so the sooner he is back playing the better it will be for Rovers, putting aside the fact that it will also help by giving Ince other options.
