Rotherham were being credited with an interest in Chris Taylor, who can leave Blackburn on a free at the end of his contract, but the former Millwall man looks set to sign a new contract to stay at Ewood Park.

Arguably Taylor’s best form last season, maybe since he was signed as Gary Bowyer’s first signing in 2013, came in the FA Cup with his three-goals in four appearances helping us to the ΒΌ finals but his first-team chances in the Championship have always been somewhat limited.

You tend to think that this would change this season mind with some high profile departures expected….

Last week it was reported Rotherham would take him to the New York Stadium on a free but the Lancashire Telegraph has now said the 28-year-old will ‘snub an offer’ from our rivals to commit his future to us.

Should this happen it would be a good bit of news wouldn’t it?
