It is being reported that Blackburn Rovers could be subject to a FRESH takeover bid?

Newspapers reports are saying that it is understood that a consortium of Asian businessmen that are based in Yorkshire are at an advanced stage regarding a possible £55 million takeover at Ewood Park. The reports say that the consortium are confident that an agreement can be reached in the next few days, which IF (the big if) did happen MIGHT free up some funds for manager Mark Hughes to use before the January transfer window closes?!?!

A STIPULATION of any takeover from this consortium is understood to make keeping David Bentley a REQUIREMENT (this is amidst talk of a £10 million move by Newcastle United for the England International, with Rovers already saying he wasn’t for sale anyway.)

Dan Williams’ proposed takeover (which has looked likely to happen) recently collapsed.
