Blackburn Rovers defender Eddie Nolan has gone out on a month’s loan to Hartlepool United.

There are VERY high hopes for Nolan at Ewood Park despite him having made only one senior appearance (his substitute showing for Rovers in the UEFA Cup last season) and it is hoped that the Republic of Ireland Under-21 International can make a serious breakthrough within the next year or so. Having spent some time at Stockport County last season he has now signed for Danny Wilson’s League One side, a signing that Wilson is very happy about.

Wilson told the Official Hartlepool United Website: “He’s an up-and-coming player who is very promising for his age.

“I am delighted that Blackburn have allowed him to come here and I would like to thank Mark Hughes and Glyn Hodges for their help in this.

“Hopefully he’ll be a good acquisition for us because he’s a quality player and someone I am very much looking forward to working with.

“I’m hoping his spell with us will be beneficial to the club and also help Eddie progress
.”

This loan move is a loan move that I do feel is more than worth it, and will benefit Rovers, Hartlepool, and most importantly Nolan himself.
