Not Promising For The Underdogs

Our most recent poll results are in. Everyone has had their say on whether an unfancied underdog can beat the odds and win Euro 2008.

Well, the results are in and it seems a mixture of apathy, probably due to the lack of a home nation participating in this year’s event, a dash of optimism and also a dose of scepticism.

The majority voted that they ‘Don’t Care’ with almost a 3rd of all votes cast(31%), which is unsurprising considering the pitiful qualifying campaigns had by all the home nations. (Thanks Steve McClown!) Second in the votes was a defiant ‘No’ with 29% and just behind that in third was an unequivocal ‘Yes’ with 26%. Only 5% separated these three results which seems to suggest that the Euro’s could be a very interesting tournament this summer.

Wrapping up the voting was the uncertainties of ‘Maybe’ (11%) and ‘Don’t Know’ (3%)

The final voting looked like this.

Yes 26%

No 29%

Maybe 11%

Don’t Know 3%

Don’t Care 31%
