Ryan Nyambe’s been progressing through the Blackburn Rovers Academy rapidly with the impact he’s had earning him his first professional contract at Ewood Park.

The seventeen-year-old made himself a permanent fixture in the Rovers Under-21 squad last season with his performances catching the eye as he helped the Under-21’s to the Final of the Premier League U21 Cup.

His signing of his first professional contract has been confirmed with the full back getting a three-year contract that’ll take him through until 2018.

Nyambe’s performances had caught the eye of Gary Bowyer last season with the teenager finding himself on the substitutes bench for the FA Cup Quarter Final Replay against Liverpool as well as The Championship finale against Ipswich Town. He’ll be looking to get into the first team picture this season, however, I’d expect him Bowyer will allow him to go out on loan.

Rovers have also confirmed that Ryan Crump, Jack Doyle, Mark Edgar, Anton Forrester, Sam Joel, Sam Lavelle and Connor Thomson have all signed one-year contracts.

Hyuga Tanner and Luke Wall have extended their Academy scholarships with Ben Ascroft, Alex Curran, Charley Doyle, Mason Fawns, Joe Grayson, Callum Hendry, Tyler Magloire, Matthew Makinson, Stefan Mols, Tre Pemberton, Joe Rankin-Costello, Joel Steer, Lewis Travis and Ben Williams all joining Rovers on such terms this week as they look to become the next Nyambe etc.
