Steven Nzonzi has been banned for three matches after admitting a FA charge of violent conduct.
Nzonzi clashed with Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross and caught him in the face with an elbow.
The ban will start immediately with the midfielder out of tonight’s Carling Cup game against Cardiff City.
