Olsson admits to derby winning dive

Martin Olsson has confessed that he dived to win the penalty that won Rovers their local derby yesterday at Turf Moor against Burnley.

Olsson scored a legit goal that was ruled out moments before he won a penalty but the penalty has been the main talking point for controversy enthusiasts and Martin has stepped out and bared all (not like that!).

Martin, speaking to the wonderfully named Fotbollskanalen said – ‘I thought that I was going to get a yellow card,’

‘I saw that he (Jensen) stuck his foot out, but I might have overacted a little. When the referee blew I thought he was going to give me a yellow card, but it’s up to the referee in that situation.’

Cracking quote.

The Olssonator however is in very fine form at present and has been one of Blackburn’s best players since the turn of the year – earning him special praise from the Big Man.

Olsson continued – ‘I am in good form but of course it’s always nice with some praise, It’s good to hear for your self confidence.’
