The FA Cup now, it seems, has become the main focus for many in Blackburn’s season but Markus Olsson is putting Liverpool on hold and isn’t willing to give up on the play-offs just yet – he’s targeting a final push to finish in the top six even though, with 11-matches to play, we’re some 14-points adrift!

You tend to think it’s going to take something special but as much as Liverpool dominates the thoughts of most, Olsson to a degree – as much as he played it down included, he doesn’t see this ΒΌ final replay as ‘a distraction’ at all and all the while we’ve ‘still got a chance’ he wants us to give that a ‘100%’ effort to make it.

‘We don’t really think about the FA Cup.

‘We try to give 100 per cent every game as there is still a chance of getting into the play-offs but we have to concentrate in the last 11 games of the league.

‘We have a big game at home to Liverpool which we will take on when it gets closer but going to Anfield, with them on form and being a strong team, will give us a boost.’

It’s too much ground to make up isn’t it? Even if we get all three-points against Bolton at Ewood on Tuesday, which is a definite must, we’ll not be able to do this now will we? It’ll certainly take a superhuman effort but you’ve got to admire his optimism!

We can’t do it, can we?
