ONLY An Improvement Will Do For Warnock!

Blackburn Rovers left-back Stephen Warnock is looking for an improvement on last seasons Premier League finish of seventh this time round, and if we don’t achieve this he WON’T be happy.

Newcastle United had an insulting offer of £2 million rejected for the England International (which he now is!) last week, and Warnock seems to be showing no signs of wanting to leave Ewood Park anyway as he has followed up comments made earlier in the summer about his willingness to want to stay with Rovers with further comments praising the club and how Paul Ince is the man to continue the work Mark Hughes started. However, although he was pleased with last season’s seventh place he feels that COULD have been better, and is looking for improvement this time round.

Warnock told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: “We are a club that is moving forward and we are all looking forward to the new era under the new manager.

“Last season, even though we finished seventh, it was still a bit of a disappointment to the lads as we feel that we can finish higher than that.

“So anything lower than seventh position again will be a disappointing season for us
.”

Some players have made it clear that their futures lie away from Ewood, but as good as they are with quality players coming in to replace them added to the superb quality we already have there is no reason why Incey shouldn’t be able to carry on where Hughes left of.
