Orr explains Rovers bail

Bradley Orr has clarified the reasoning behind his departure to Ipswich after leaving Rovers on loan 3 months yesterday.

Orr has clarified that he will look to make the move a more permanent arrangement when the chance arises as manager Henning Berg has explained to him that he will not be first choice at Ewood Parkfor the foreseeable future.

Orr told the Lancs Telegraph – “In my head, I wanted to get out quick. I didn`t feel like I deserved to be out the team anyway. There was an opportunity for me to strike while the iron`s hot in terms of match fitness.

“I didn`t want to stay around and stagnate for three or four weeks and then come (to a new club) and take three or four games to get up to the pace that is needed. I wanted to do it sooner rather than later.

The former QPR right back has explained that he feels hard done by to have been dropped in favour of youngster Admam Henley giving the timing of the switch.

“When the new manager came in (Berg), we were off the back of two wins and clean sheets, and I wanted to keep my position in the team. But it wasn`t to be – that`s football. I`m not someone who likes to sit around and pick up my monthly wage.

“I want to be playing and mixing it on a Saturday. When I hang my boots up, I want to see how many games I have played. I don`t want to just be a number. “When you are not playing, you sometimes just become, without knowing it, a negative impact on the place. I didn`t want that as I have good friends in the Blackburn dressing room.

“I wanted to get out of the way really and come somewhere where I felt I would have a fair crack at it. I do wish Blackburn and all my friends in the dressing room all the best and every success, but I have come here to do a job.”
