After being favoured towards a move to Danish outfit, FC Copenhagen, it seems like Turkish club Karabukspor might have pounced in at the last minute for the signing of Rovers veteran, Morten Gamst Pedersen.

Earlier this week, Morten spoke off his interest in moving to Denmark with the Champions League qualifiers, highlighting the size of the Scandinavian and its interest as a draw card.

Speaking to Norwegian paper BT, rumours were rife of Copenhagen’s interest

“I haven`t had a serious contact with FCK, but I have heard about the interest….FC Copenhagen is the biggest club in Scandinavia. They will play in the Champions League and they have reached it because of all the resources they have got.’

However, it looks like Karabukspor have taken their interest further, fielding a 2 year contract and flying Morten Gamst Pedersen over for a medical. The Turkish club’s President, Mustafa Yolbulan appeared confident on the move.

Regardless of his end destination, Pedersen has been a loyal servant for Blackburn, and we wish him all the best on his future endeavours
