Radosav Petrovic is begging to get started with his Blackburn Rovers career after passing a medical with the club and agreeing terms on a healthy four year deal.

All that stands between Petrovic and a picture on the Rovers website holding a blue and white shirt up is a work permit hearing but having played regularly for Serbia in the last two seasons that is surely a formality.

Radosav made it clear when negotiations started that a move to Ewood Park was very much his first choice.

Petrovic told Sky Sports – ‘I’m extremely happy to have agreed everything and know it will be a nervous couple of weeks until the work permit panel, but I hope that everything will be okay.

‘I want to thank Partizan and Blackburn for making this happen, and thank you also to all the Partizan fans.’

‘I’m looking forward to starting the next stage of my career and playing in the Premier League.’
