Keith Treacy is another of the Irish contingent of successful Blackburn Rovers academy products.

Having impressed significantly during his two-years with Rovers Treacy is already a regular in the reserves despite having recently only turned 18-years-old.

The left-winger has represented the Republic of Ireland at all levels up to and including under-19 level being a regular in the side. Another who will be looking to make the step up to the under-21’s sooner rather than later; with a place in the first team Rovers squad likely to come soon.

His impression has been such that Mark Hughes made him part of his pre-season plans in the summer of 2006 and awarded the man with a keen eye for goal a squad number of 29 shortly before the start of the 2006-2007 season.

In order to gain first team experience Treacy was sent out on loan to join Stockport County in November 2006.
