I know, Gary Bowyer’s still very much the Blackburn boss but a ‘hypothetical’ question has been asked by @roverseas….

I just wanted to gather supporter’s thoughts on any potential replacements should Gary Bowyer lose his job.

He has not had the best of starts and some fans feel he has taken us as far as he can.

But actually what other options do we have? Who would want to manage our beloved club? And who could we actually afford.

My initial thought would be a manager who is out of work, and here is a small list of whom are currently looking for a job:

Sam Allardyce
Nigel Pearson
Harry Redknapp
Neil Warnock
Ian Holloway
Dave Jones
Gary Megson
Paul Lambert
Alex McLeish
Malky Mackay
Billy Davies
Steven Pressley
Darren Ferguson

Out of this is list I could narrow the search down to:

Nigel Pearson
Dave Jones
Paul Lambert
Alex McLeish
Malky Mackay
Billy Davies

Both Mackay and Pearson come with some “excess baggage” but might be looking to fix their damaged reputations. I also like Davies as he seems to deliver the goods when backed by the board.

I like Gary Bowyer, he is a “nice guy”, but I think we need a bloke who is a bit more experienced and one who will come out punching. By all means, keep Bowyer on the books some how, assistant, or head coach.

Anyway, I was hoping to stir up some reaction.

Lets have it…
