Blackburn have now confirmed five pre-season friendlies (Bury, Morecambe, Rochdale and Blackpool) as well as an Austrian training camp (SV Ried will be played).

All we now need is a boss to oversee this!

The first-team will be back in training at the end of next month, with the new boss (you would think, certainly hope) in place by then with him seeing the squad back at Brockhall before taking them away to Austria for a six-day training camp from 4th-10th July.

During that training camp we’ll face Austrian Bundesliga side SV Ried at 6pm (local time) on Saturday 9th July at the Keine Sorgen Arena.

A three-match tournament on Saturday 16th July with Bury and Morecambe (who will host this at the Glove Arena) will then take place with hour-long matches against Bury at 1pm and Morecambe at 2:30pm played, the Shrimps will play the Shakers at 4pm to round things off.

One of those being linked with the Blackburn job is our former player Keith Hill, his appointment isn’t looking too likely now with his Rochdale side hosting us on Tuesday 19th July at Spotland in at 7:45pm kick-off.

Finally, at this stage, Blackpool will welcome us to Bloomfield Road on Saturday 23rd July with this having a 3pm kick-off but we’re apparently still looking to confirm one final friendly ahead of the Championship season, starting on Saturday 6th August.
