Having been drawn against defending Premiership Champions Chelsea in the third round of the Carling Cup, the date and time of Blackburn Rovers’ clash have now been revealed.

Rovers’ tie against the 2004-2005 League Cup Winners will take place at Ewood Park on Wednesday 25th October with an 8pm kick off. Ticket prices have again been reduced, as they were for the Salzburg UEFA Cup home tie. Rovers’ managing director Tom Finn said:

We hope this move, which has been agreed after consultation with Chelsea, will help attract a bumper attendance for what promises to be a great cup tie against the reigning English champions.”

  • Another good gesture from the club which should see another good turnout. Win this game and there won’t be many tougher for the rest of the tournament.

  • yes its on a wednesday means i can go cos im not working!! only £18 aswell. should be a good game and one which i think we can win!

  • I think they will have a good chance of winning you are right. £18, good price as well for maybe 120 minutes and maybe even penalties!

  • nope i will be happy with just 90 mins aslong as it goes are way, dont think i could cope with extra time and penalties!! but i willo do it if i really have to! :/

  • Extra time and penalties are reat when they work in your favour! I’d love going through them if I knew 100% that the outcome I want would happen at the end, but this doesn’t often happen does it.
