PSG enter Samba race

Rovers defender Chris Samba has now got eyes on him from across the waters.

Spurs and QPR have both registered an interest in the player but both seem reluctant to offer what would actually prise him away from Ewood Park.

But cash rich PSG have now taken a fancy and with them being able to offer Champions League football and a reasonable amount of dough they have become a danger.

The Daily Mail is reporting – ‘The mega-rich French side have grand ambitions of becoming a top European force over the next 18 months and will give Samba a difficult decision to make.

He has been yearning for a big move and the interest from Harry Redknapp`s Tottenham plus Mark Hughes`s appointment at QPR had whetted his appetite for a move within the Premier League.

PSG will not be short of riches and will better proposed wages of around £60,000 per week but the French league is not as competitive or high-profile. Samba is French-born and started his career there but may yet decide he would prefer to stay in England.

Blackburn need to sell to bring in the players they want to fight against relegation and have had offers for Mauro Formica, Ruben Rochina and Yakubu.

They are reluctant to sell Yakubu but will consider offers of £7million for winger Junior Hoilett who is wanted by Tottenham, QPR, Stoke, Newcastle and Bolton.

Turkish side Galatasray are willing to pay a massive £6.5m for Yakubu but Blackburn believe selling their top scorer would be a clear sign that they are ready to accept relegation and send out the wrong signal to their already frustrated supporters.’

So random teams are after all our best players, not the productive start to the window that Steve Kean predicted!
