Elliott Bennett, who was among the goalscorers for Blackburn in a victory over Morecambe on Friday, has been linked with QPR.
HITC Sport has claimed QPR are ‘weighing up a move’ for the Rovers midfielder with him becoming one of Ian Holloways ‘top targets.’
Bennett isn’t a player Tony Mowbray would be looking to sell so it’ll take a sizeable offer but with the former Norwich man only having 12 months on his current Blackburn deal you can never say never.
Having confirmed the exit of Anthony Stokes after it was mutually agreed to terminate his ‘contract with immediate effect’ over the weekend the former Celtic forward could now return to Hibernian.
A third spell at Easter Road has been mooted on and off this summer and Hibs boss Neil Lennon has confirmed an offer has been made.
Lennon told BT Sport, via Sky Sports: ‘Well, I think it is fair to say we are in talks with Anthony. We have made him a really good offer, a really strong offer, so the ball is in the court of Anthony now and his agent. We will wait and see. We just have to hope that he thinks Hibs is the next stage in his career again.’
