The Rao family have given an interview in which they outline their intentions to be a better side… whilst ignoring the club’s current plight.

Both Venky’s and current boss Steve Kean are under intense pressure after an alarming slump that started with the sacking of Sam Allardyce back in December.

Since appointing rookie boss Kean, Rovers are now in 16th place and only two points above the dreaded drop zone and fans have been flooding internet forums and writing letters to call for the head of the current manager.

But despite the negativity, the Rao family remain positive and expect next season to bring fresh riches to Blackburn Rovers with the current set up.

Venkatesh Rao, when asked whether Steve Kean would still be in charge next season spoke to Granada Reports and said – “Absolutely.

‘I am very positive to my players and manager. I have full confidence in them.

“To say I am not concerned is wrong. But I think we have to stand by the manager and the players. They will come out of it.

“The club is one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs in the UK and to be given this chance is a dream come true.

“We have already invested. Whatever has to be done for the club, money-wise, it will be fulfilled.

“Our aim will be to see every fan smiling.”

Fans will likely be unhappy with the constant talk of better things whilst the worry of relegation still looms large over the club.

And this last statement from one of the Rao’s will likely help!

Co-owner Balaji Rao, also commented – “Next year we will be at least finishing top eight or something, pushing for Europe. At least one cup, we deserve that.

“They are beautiful people, I have seen a very nice reception.

‘They are humble people, beautiful people, very nice people.”

Jesus.
