After a great victory against Wigan, Rovers faced a stubborn Reading defence, gritting there way away from the relegation zone. In what was to be a hot tempered match, Blackburn restored there influential leader to the backline, Ryan Nelson making his return at the expense of the inconsistent Chris Samba

Chances were rare in the first half, with Roberts taking Rovers best chance, heading into the keepers shoulder. With 4 minutes to go, a bizarre incident occured. Ryan Nelson was returning to the back line after an attacking raid when he tried to avoid Reading Keeper Hahnemann releasing the ball. However, as he was releasing it, he clipped Nelson and the Big Kiwi ended up with the ball. Hahnemann dived in with a rash challenge, with both players recieving a yellow.

The second half drew a bit more action, with a Bentley swerving rocket and a dipping volley the highlights, both saved by the keeper.Controversy followed as Czech Midfielder Marek Matejovsky was dismissed following a second yellow card. Soon after, Rovers were awarded a free kick, which David Bentley dipped into the box. The Reading Defence all had pushed up, leaving Zurab with a free header, which he could only hit straight into the keeper.

The game fizzed into action, with Steven Hunt missing a sitter for Reading. However, there was still time for a Roque Howler, shooting from 3 yard out, straight at the keeper, with only 3 minutes to go. Blackburn rang the changes, bringing on Benni Mac and Derbyshire, both with little effect
Sasmans Thoughts
Really was dissapointed. Should of got the victory, missed a few decent chances. Worrying thing is the fact that Roque cant score with his feet!!!!! Good to see Nelson back in action
