Reid Looking Forward To Pre-Season

The season might not be finished yet but Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven Reid is already looking forward to Pre-Season training.

Reid is thrilled to have his 15-months of injury nightmares behind him (touch wood!!!) to be playing again but the Republic of Ireland International has admitted that not having a Pre-Season behind him is making things difficult for him now. The benefits that Pre-Season gives you help get you through the season, so Reid is already looking ahead to this ahead of the next campaign.

Reid told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: “I was out for a long time with injury so being back feels good – I’m getting stronger with every game that I play.

“But I might not get to 100 per cent until next term.

“That’s why pre-season is so massive. People can underestimate the value of a decent pre-season and how it stands you in good stead for the rest of the year.

“Hopefully, come June/July I can kick on again and have a season where I am involved in every game. Next pre-season will be a tough one, but it is one that I am desperately looking forward to
.”

Reid’s comeback from injury is now almost complete with him back in the Ireland fold, with him being called up for the training camp in the Algarve ahead of two friendlies in May, however, as he is part of a 40-man squad he could yet miss out on the final 28-man party.
