Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven Reid has suffered ANOTHER injury setback as he looks to get back after a nightmare 14-months out through injuries.

After over a year out with a back and then knee injury the Republic of Ireland International was forced off after only 28 minutes of his latest reserve outing, limping away from the 0-0 draw with Liverpool. The initial diagnosis is a hamstring strain, which isn’t as bad as it could have been and reserve manager Glyn Hodges is insistent that his immediate substitution was precautionary and is not too serious.

Hodges (after Tuesday Evenings game) told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: “It looks as if he’s got a bit of a strain.

“He felt a bit of uneasiness but it’s not a massive problem.

“It was a precaution to get him off the pitch. We’ll be able to assess it more in the morning
.”

All we can do is HOPE that it is nothing more than a strain, and he can simply continue his rehabilitation as soon as possible.
