Rovers could very well get their number one January transfer target but on one special proviso.

It is understood that striker Vedad Ibisevic who currently plays for German side Hoffenheim

ould jump at the chance to play for Blackburn but only if he can have a ‘relegation release’ clause – which sounds like something straight out of Championship Manager.

Steve Kean and his merry band of co-workers tried for Vedad in the summer but were put off by his injury status and that delay proved to be the right move as the hitman has only just got back into the swing of things just recently.

But his short return to the fold in Germany has produced 3 goals and shows a striker with an eye for goal… something that the current crop of Rovers strikers seem to miss.

The Lancashire Telegraph is reporting – ‘Vedad Ibisevic would be interested in a January move to Blackburn Rovers – but is seeking a relegation ‘get-out` clause to tempt him to Ewood.

Rovers boss Steve Kean is plotting a new £3.5million move for the Hoffenheim striker, having failed to land him in the summer, but knows their current Premier League woe is in danger of putting him off a switch.’

Watch this one gather pace as we head towards the New Year.
