Dean Rittenberg’s Blackburn career came to an end on Tuesday with it mutually agreed to terminate his Rovers contract.

Rittenberg had been with Blackburn since the age of 13 and worked his way through the clubs set up to become a regular in the U21 side. However, his breakthrough into the Rovers first team didn’t come.

With it decided things wouldn’t change under Owen Coyle a mutual agreement saw his time at Ewood Park ended.

A statement on the Official Website read.

‘Blackburn Rovers Football Club and Dean Rittenberg confirm the player`s departure from the club by mutual agreement. The club thanks Dean for his work and dedication during his time at Ewood Park and wishes him every success for his future career.’

It didn’t take long for the forward to find a new club though as the former England youth international was announced as a Bangor City player by the end of Tuesday.

Bangor confirmed Rittenberg’s signing but the length of his deal at the Bangor University Stadium wasn’t revealed.
