Reports are surfacing that Olympiakos are set to offer a £25,000 a week deal to Blackburn winger Morten Gamst Pedersen.
The Norwegian is out of contract in June and is thinking long and hard about his next move, which does include staying at Ewood Park – an
ffer which is on the table for him.
Morten was fairly dire for about two seasons out on the left wing but a shift to the left hand side of a three man field has revitalised him and Rovers are loathe to lose a talented player for nothing.
A replacement would cost a fair bit so Sam, doing the maths wants to keep Morten at the club.
The only problem is that Rovers can’t offer the money that Matt Derbyshire’s side can so are tempting to lure him with sentiment and a settled life.
Sam will be shopping for bargains (as usual) this summer and will not be able to increase the current wage bill.
