Rovers have this morning sacked Michael Appleton after 67 days in charge of Blackburn Rovers.
He was reportedly summoned to a meeting this morning where he was given his marching orders after a run of only two league wins in his short tenure saw Rovers drop to just outside the relegation places.
Appleton was Rovers FIFTH manager of the season with Gary Bowyer now expected to take charge until the end of the season.
